By The White House was not being truthful when it announced the location of a bag of cocaine found on the premises, according to new reports.
“Multiple officials involved in the White House cocaine inquiry now say the bag of powder was found in a cubby near the White House’s West Executive entrance, not the formal West Wing lobby as was previously reported,” writes NBC News.
“Investigators expect to be done with the investigation by Monday, according to two sources familiar with the investigation. The inquiry was previously expected to take a couple of weeks.
In updating the location of where the cocaine was found, officials said that area was also heavily trafficked.
The cocaine was found in an entrance area between the foyer and a lower-level lobby, the sources said. The entrance is near where some vehicles, like the vice president’s limo or SUV park. It is one floor below the main West Wing offices and the same floor as the Situation Room and a dining area.”
The new revelation makes it difficult to believe the official story initially given by the White House. “Sources” told The Associated Press that the bag of cocaine was found in a heavily trafficked area and likely belonged to a public visitor to the grounds.

The change in location has made many of those familiar with the protocols of the building to argue it was someone much closer to the president, leading to speculation that the drugs may have belonged to Hunter Biden.

Gamblers have begun placing bets on who owned the drugs, and the odds on favorite is the president’s son. “Overseas sportsbook BetOnline.ag gives Hunter Biden +170 odds as the owner, placing him as the most likely wrongdoer among their listed suspects, which also appears to contain joke offenders peppered throughout the list, wrote Fox News.
“Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce follows with +800 odds, while “One of the Jonas Brothers” carries +1000 odds and Angelina Jolie garners +1400 odds. President Biden and his wife, first lady Jill Biden, sit at the bottom of the pack with +15000 and +10000 odds, respectively.”
The Secret Service seems to be pouring gasoline on the fire of speculation by announcing that the culprit, whoever it is, is unlikely to be found. A law enforcement official involved in the matter told Politico, “It’s gonna be very difficult for us to do that because of where it was,” the official said. “Even if there were surveillance cameras, unless you were waving it around, it may not have been caught. It’s a bit of a thoroughfare. People walk by there all the time.”
That answer is not good enough for one Republican Senator. In a letter to The Secret Service, Tom Cotton wrote, “According to public reports, the Secret Service has not yet confirmed where in the West Wing the cocaine was found. I urge you to release that information quickly, as the American people deserve to know whether illicit drugs were found in an area where confidential information is exchanged.
If the White House complex is not secure, Congress needs to know the details, as well as your plan to correct any security flaws. Please answer the following questions as soon as practicable, but in any event no later than 5:00PM on Friday, July 14. Further, please contact my staff to arrange a briefing on this matter, as well as the provision of any answers that are classified or law enforcement sensitive.”
The senator has demanded a “complete list” of those who aren’t subject to a full security screening upon entering the White House, statistics on the Secret Service’s use of K-9 screenings and details on audits of their security procedures.
Andrew Bates, a mid-level staffer for the Biden Administration, was asked about the claims that the cocaine found in the White House had belonged to either the president or his son and bizarrely and gave an eyebrow-raising answer: “I don’t have a response to that because we have to be careful about the Hatch Act”

The Hatch Act prohibits official members of the president’s staff from campaigning while on the job.
On Wednesday, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The president thinks it’s incredibly important to get to the bottom of this,” but Joe Biden has avoided taking on the subject. He recently fled the stage when reporters shouted questions about the finding.
