Earlier in the month, Democrats in Florida, for all intents and purposes, admitted that Joe Biden needed help in the primary. Party leaders in the sunshine announced that they would no longer be holding a primary, using a loophole that stated that if there was not more than one candidate running for president, they didn’t need to hold a contest.
That was a surprise to a number of other Democrats challenging Biden.
“Rigging the primary for the octogenarian, deeply unpopular president didn’t just receive the ire of candidates directly impacted. Independents also expressed disgust at Florida Democrats for undermining American democratic principles,” wrote New Conservative Post.
“No Labels, a political organization working on having a third-party presidential candidate by mid-March next year, also reacted, posting on X regarding the news of Phillips being off the ballot,” reported The Hill.
“The group, which is still assessing whether to move forward with the uni-party ticket and how to select it, characterized the development as “undemocratic and unAmerican,” calling out the DNC for “rigging the primary system.”
‘It is undemocratic and unAmerican for the Florida Democratic Party to cancel its Democratic primary and keep Democrat Dean Phillips off the ballot,’ NoLabels wrote on X. ‘The DNC party establishment is rigging the primary system to eliminate competition — and this is why a No Labels Unity ticket could be the only way to give American voters the choice they want.’”
Now, a popular Democrat has said enough is enough. Biden needs to face the voters or not run for president.
The Washington Examiner writes:
Andrew Yang, the entrepreneur who ran for the Democratic nomination in 2022, and his allies are now assisting Phillips’ cause.
“We are activating our network in Florida to help ensure that voters have a say in the future of the country,” he told ABC News, explaining that the “we” are allies in his network and not an official position of the political party he founded in 2021, “The Forward Party.”
“What’s happening in Florida is important — do we live in a democracy or not? If the Democrats can simply cancel their own primaries they should change their name to something else,” Yang continued.
Phillips, author Marianne Williamson, and progressive media commentator Cenk Uygur have accused the president and Democratic National Committee, without evidence, of being behind the effort to keep them off the ballot. Officials have denied the allegation, while the DNC has been clear in its support for the incumbent, which is customary, long before Biden launched his re-election bid.
Yang ran against Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination in 2020.
Biden has appeared to be doing everything he can to ensure that he’s the only name the American public can vote for in the election this November. The only way to “protect democracy,” the president has said, is for him to win reelection.
On top of rigging the primaries in his favor, Joe Biden came out in support of banning Trump from the ballot in Colorado.
The president also took to social media to double down on his comments that his leading opponent should be banned from the ballot, a move more similar to 20th-century fascists than any American president.
Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world.
But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy.
If we lose that, we lose everything.

Biden, or at least his staff, has shown an affinity for totalitarian themes throughout his presidency. In September of 2022, for example, Biden gave a national address at Independence Hall while flanked by Marines with what was described as “blood-red Nazi lighting” that left viewers, according to some reports, “stunned.”
“Biden aimed to frame the state of U.S. politics as a battle between ‘equality and democracy’ and a GOP allegedly assaulting those principles in a campaign-style speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, with a widely criticized background that included ominous red lighting,” wrote Fox News.
“The fact that this isn’t photoshopped is surreal,” Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy tweeted. “Every time I think Biden and crew can’t be dumber they outdo themselves. Seriously who gives a speech warning people about how dangerous Republicans are to Democracy while having a background that looks like the Soviet Union and Hitler had a baby?”

After years of using SWAT Teams against conservative activists and deploying creepy rhetoric, it’s nice to know that at least one prominent Democrat is standing up to Biden’s creepiness.
