By In a bizarre rant posted online, MSNBC host Joy Reid went after Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville in a video that attacked people who have children who believe in border security.
“According to Reid,” wrote Mediate, “saying more immigrants coming through the southern border is a ‘crisis’ defeats a call for more births because of resources. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has bitterly fought with the White House on southern border policies, taking to making his own arrests and busing migrants to states like Chicago and New York, which have claimed they are overwhelmed, amid crossing spikes.
A bipartisan Senate border deal was dead before it hit the House with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and others saying Biden already has certain authorities in the legislation, like shutting down the border.
Reid questioned ‘why’ Alabama needs “more kids,” tying Tuberville’s comments on IVF all the way back to slavery in the state.”
The rant is another example of a progressive revealing who they really care about.
The Washington Examiner transcribed the strange video in which the cable news host looked a little deranged.
“The United States has a population of north of 327 million people, why do we need more kids?” Reid asked. “Your party, Sen. Tuberville, is the one screaming that 10 million immigrants — I don’t even know if that number makes any sense cause it doesn’t — have streamed into the country since Joe Biden has been president.”
Republicans are decrying that if the southern border is overrun with illegal immigrants, there will be no more space, and the situation will become unaffordable, according to Reid.
“Now you’re saying, ‘We need more kids,’ can you explain who’s the ‘we,’ and what’s the purpose?” Reid said. “You’re also a senator from the state of Alabama, God help the people there.”
“Are you saying that the state of Alabama needs more kids? Why does the state of Alabama need more kids? More kids for what?”

Last year, it was New York Mayor Eric Adams who claimed the city as “full” during an attack on Biden’s handling of the border, not Republicans.
This is not the first time that Reid has found herself in hot water for absurdly stupid and conspiratorial statements. In 2018, wrote Politico, embarrassing posts from her old blog—on which she has expressed anti-gay views and promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories—continued to surface.”
The blog posts, noted Buzzfeed, “encouraged readers of her now-defunct blog to watch an infamous 9/11 conspiracy documentary.”
The news site continued: A March 22, 2006, post to her weblog, Reidblog, archived by the Wayback Machine and titled ‘The official story,’ links to Loose Change 9/11, a viral 80-minute web video originally released in 2005. Loose Change, which was produced in part by Infowars’ Alex Jones, alleged that the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center were in fact planned by the US government. The central claims in Loose Change have been widely debunked.
‘The fundamental question is: do you believe the official story of 9/11?’ the post reads. “If you do, great. If you don’t, then everything that happened after that is called into serious question. Even if you’re agnostic, or you tend to believe that al-Qaida attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon and that the government had no warning such a thing could happen, it’s worth taking a second look.’
The Loose Change post isn’t the only skepticism on her blog about the attacks that killed 3,000 people. In a March 2006 post titled ‘Flashback: September 30, 2001,’ Reid’s blog notes that the US government identified the plotters suspiciously soon. It then repeats common truther questions about the collapse of the WTC 7 building, which was not hit by an airplane.
‘For that matter, why did any of the WTV [sic] buildings fall…?’ Reidblog states. ‘Somehow I think it will be a generation before we get the full story on what happened on 9/11?’”
Reid is the second progressive to have been caught with previous writing that touted 9-11 conspiracy theories.
The New York Post wrote, “Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), who represents the Bronx and Westchester County, espoused conspiracy theories about the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks while serving as a public high school principal, it was revealed this week.
Bowman — a member of the liberal House ‘Squad’ that also includes Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — kept a blog that claimed World Trade Center building Number 7 was destroyed in a controlled demolition and that hijacked Flight 93 and Flight 77 caused minimal damage and left behind little debris.”
Fortunately for all of us, unlike Bowman, Reid does not appear to have expressed her conspiracy theories through the medium of poetry.
