By It’s become relatively straightforward that not only are Democratic prosecutors and judges throwing the book at him because he’s the GOP frontrunner for president, but they also want to make sure he’s humiliated.
Earlier in the month, a judge in New York fined Donald Trump and his company over $350 million in a fraud trial in which the alleged victims of the crime testified in defense of the former president.
USA Today wrote that Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the former president and to pay “$354 million in damages, with additional penalties against two of his sons, and barred them from conducting business in the state after committing rampant fraud by over-valuing his real estate empire.”
The move was so absurd that other famous real estate moguls called it “un-American” and “appalling.”
Now, it looks like New York Attorney General Letitia James plans to seize Trump Tower.
“If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” James said in an interview with ABC News’ Aaron Katersky.
Trump was fined $354.8 million plus approximately $100 million in pre-judgment interest on Friday after Judge Arthur Engoron determined that he inflated his net worth in order get more favorable loan terms.
Saying that she was “very confident” with the strength of her case on appeal, James reiterated that her office would not hesitate to seize Trump’s assets — mentioning Trump’s 40 Wall Street skyscraper by name — if the former president is unable to find the cash to cover the court-ordered disgorgement.
“We are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and yes, I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day,” James said of the standard court process for collecting judgments in civil cases.
Last fall, New Conservative Post explained that all of this was being done in an effort to “erase” Donald Trump, whether you like him or not.
James has been accused of having a personal vendetta against Trump, doing the dirty work to prosecute the sitting president’s greatest challenger to re-election. None of her actions should be surprising, however. In 2018, James ran for the sole purpose of destroying Donald Trump, whether she believed he committed crimes or not.

This was not an offhand comment. James made it a part of her campaign.

The judge has purposely made it difficult for Trump to pay any fines. The Daily News reported that “every morning Donald Trump wakes up, he now owes another $87,500 in interest on the massive legal penalties he received last week.
The pain is set to continue until he pays off the entirety of the nearly half a billion dollars in fines and interest in his Manhattan civil fraud case.
The devastating judgment handed down by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron on Friday against the former president and his longtime Trump Organization executives will increase by 9% annually until resolved.
That comes to $87,500 per day, according to the state attorney general’s office — more than most New Yorkers make in a year. On an annual basis, the interest alone puts a $32 million dent in Trump’s pocket, according to calculations by The Associated Press.”
Trump has denied all wrongdoing and has said he will appeal.
The former president said earlier in the week that what Biden and his allies were trying to do to him was similar to what Vladimir Putin did to Alexei Navalny, his chief critic who was first put into jail and then recently murdered by the Russian tyrant.
“It’s a form of Navalny,” Trump said a Fox News town hall on Tuesday, responding to a question from Laura Ingraham about the $355 million fine against his businesses after a New York civil trial. “It’s happening in our country too.”
“We are turning into a communist country in many ways,” Trump continued. “I got indicted four times, I have eight or nine trials. All because of the fact that I’m in, you know this, all because of the fact that I’m in politics. They indicted me.”
Trump’s not the only one who argued that while Biden slams Putin for attacking critics, he’s done similar, though less extreme, actions here in the United States.

Since the beginning of the Biden presidency, the White House has deployed SWAT Teams to attack pro-life activists. Last January, a federal jury found pro-lifer Martin Houck innocent after the Department of Justice tried to throw the book at him for defending his son while protesting an abortion clinic.
Last spring, the federal authorities showed up at the door of another pro-life activist. New Conservative Post reported that in a stunning video, “the FBI is once again trying to intimidate pro-life activists, and this time they’re going after their families. Two agents, identified as Ashley Roberts and Kathleen Brown, showed up at the childhood home of Elise Ketch, an anti-abortion activist who is part of group of progressives who believe that abortion kills a human life.”
Liberal media outlets have worked to downplay these incidents while broadcasting conspiracy theories by the likes of Nancy Pelosi.
