Kamala Harris will only play home games.
On Monday evening, former President Donald Trump announced that Vice President Kamala Harris’ team informed his campaign that she will not participate in a Fox News presidential debate on September 4. The debate, proposed to be held in Pennsylvania and moderated by Fox News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, was initially set to feature Trump and Harris.
Trump had been hesitant to debate Harris after President Biden suspended his re-election campaign, as Harris was not yet the official Democratic candidate. However, he later agreed to debate her once she secured the party’s nomination.
Both Trump and Harris have confirmed their participation in a September 10 debate on ABC News. The debate will likely be Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris and the debate moderator, reports Newsbusters.
“In a possible preview of how she planned to conduct herself as one of the moderators of the first presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, during her coverage of the Democratic National Convention on Monday, ABC’s Linsey Davis claimed – without evidence – that Trump had a “connection” to a month-old KKK rally in Howell, Michigan because he was going to hold a rally in the same town.
In a conversation with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D), Davis noted that ‘Trump is expected to go campaign in Howell, Michigan tomorrow.’ And as if there was no other reason for Trump’s campaign to visit, she suggested the march was why Trump chose to go there:
‘Many people are aware that a month ago, in Howell, KKK protesters marched in the streets with the white robes on and suggested that they support Donald Trump. I’m curious if you make anything about that connection and him going in particularly to Howell tomorrow.’
Upcoming ABC News presidential debate moderator @LinseyDavis connects Trump to KKK. Trump to campaign in Howell Michigan tomorrow and a month ago KKK marched there and “suggested they support Trump.” So, “do you make anything of that connection?” ABC News Live at 8:10 PM ET pic.twitter.com/fiHiJchSp0

And while she saw no reason for Trump to go there besides the KKK march, a quick search for Howell on Google maps showed it sits between Ann Arbor, Detroit, and Lansing; making it a central location for people to travel to. Michigan was also a closely contested battleground state.”
Trump has also agreed to an NBC News debate on September 25, which may be moderated by former Bill Clinton director of communications, George Stephanopoulos. The NBC host is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Trump after he misled his audience by claiming that “judges and two separate juries have found [Trump] liable for rape,” among other references to Trump being “found liable for rape.”
The Harris campaign has indicated they may consider a second presidential debate in October. Additionally, both campaigns have agreed to a vice presidential debate on CBS News on October 1, featuring Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz and Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance.
In response to Harris’ decision to skip the Fox News debate, Trump announced will be participating in a town hall event in Pennsylvania with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Harris has still yet to hold a press conference or sit down for an interview. So far during the campaign, the vice president has struggled to talk about anything in specifics, offering little detail on what she intends to do as president.
On the rare occasions that she has, she has stumbled mightily, sliding into strange word salads about “the duality of democracy.”
It is WEIRD to give the same canned word salad about the “duality of our democracy” to a fresh audience.
WTF told her this was good enough to keep saying? How many times has she said this sloppy nonsense? pic.twitter.com/b7NfOP8Vsy

Last Friday, the Washington Post called her major economic plan—which calls for price controls on groceries and hands out cash to buy homes (raising housing costs)—a “gimmick.” On Tuesday, she allegedly announced that she intends to tax “unrealized gains,” a move that is likely both unconstitutional and a disaster for the economy.
Democratic allies have outright called for Harris to stop offering any policy specifics and instead pushed her to just give general statements through anonymous spokespeople.
