Israel Pulls Of Stunning Attack On Hezbollah

Earlier in the week, a major fire broke out in northern Israel after Hezbollah fired rockets into the country, threatening a nature preserve. Now, many of them are going to be walking with a limp for the rest of their lives.

In something you’d see in a James Bond movie, Israel has struck, hitting the terrorists below the belt, literally.

The Wall Street Journal reports that pagers carried by thousands of Hezbollah operatives exploded at about the same time Tuesday afternoon in what appeared to be an unprecedented attack that authorities said injured more than 2,700 and killed eight across Lebanon.

The affected pagers were from a new shipment that the group received in recent days, people familiar with the matter said. A Hezbollah official said many fighters had such devices, speculating that malware might have caused the devices to explode. The official said some people felt the pagers heat up and disposed of them before they burst.

Hezbollah said a number of pagers carried by its members exploded simultaneously at 3:30 p.m. local time. It couldn’t immediately be determined what caused the blasts, which were spread out across the country in several areas where Hezbollah has a heavy presence.

Hezbollah and the Lebanese government blamed Israel for the attack. Both said civilians were killed, and Hezbollah threatened to retaliate. The Israeli military declined to comment.

The operation also disrupted a large portion of Hezbollah’s military command and control system and received praise.

In response, Hezbollah, as terrorists always do, vowed to retaliate.

Revealing how closely connected Iran is to the terrorist group, Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, was also injured in a beeper explosion.

“Amani has a superficial injury and is currently under observation in a hospital,” Reuters reported.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart, strongly condemned the “terrorist attack” and thanked Lebanon for providing immediate medical treatment to Amani, Iranian state media reported.

A Hezbollah official told the outlet that the detonation of the pagers was the “biggest security breach” the group had suffered in nearly a year of war with Israel.

Israel didn’t inform the Biden administration ahead of its intelligence operation that included exploding thousands of Hezbollah members’ pager devices, two U.S. officials told Axios.

The news should not be surprising. Several reports over the past few years have revealed that the Biden administration has been infiltrated by Iranian influencers. In August, two congressional Republicans announced an investigation into one of Kamala Harris’ top national security advisers.

The Washington Free Beacon revealed that several members of Congress “asked the presumptive Democratic nominee to provide information about her adviser Phil Gordon’s “connections to Ms. Ariane Tabatabai, a senior Department of Defense official who was reportedly involved in an Iranian government operation to expand Tehran’s soft power in the United States.”

Iran has vowed to disrupt the upcoming presidential election in hopes of keeping Democrats in the White House and has targeted several different Republicans, including Donald Trump.
