Last night, the court finally unsealed documents related to the civil suit launched by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims against Ghislaine Maxwell, and while it was assumed that former President Bill Clinton would be named, what we didn’t know was what other big-time Democrats would find themselves on the “Epstein List.”
Turns out the release may not just reveal what past Democratic leaders were up to, but also may impact 2024 or 2028.
Thomas Pritzker, the billionaire heir to the Hyatt fortune, cousin to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and a significant donor to the Democratic Party, has been implicated in testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and had sex with Prince Andrew at age 17, said in a just released deposition that she had sex with billionaire Hyatt hotel heir Tom Pritzker.
Pritzker is Hyatt Hotels’ executive chairman and the cousin of Illinois’ Democrat Governor JB Pritzker and chairman and CEO of the Pritzker Organization.
Newly released documents show a deposition given by Giuffre where attorney Laura Meninger – representing notorious Epstein madam Ghislaine Maxwell – asked if she’d slept with Pritzker, who is worth $5.3billion.
Giuffre said – and affirmed multiple times under oath – that she believed she’d been ‘with Tom once’ when asked if they’d had sex – a claim he has angrily denied.
“This is the same false and isolated allegation that was published and vehemently denied more than four years ago,” a spokesperson for Pritzker said in a statement emailed to The Messenger. “Mr. Pritzker continues to vehemently deny it.”
The outlet continued by noting that “there was nothing in the passage indicating she had been sent to do so by either Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s paramour who also served as a madam of sorts. Later in the deposition, Giuffre discusses having sex with the ‘owner of a large hotel chain’ in France at ‘his own cabana townhouse thing,’ without mentioning Pritzker by name. In that instance, she said she was sent to do so by Maxwell.”
Pritzker has not been charged in connection with the Epstein case.
The billionaire would not be the first major Democratic donor to have been connected with Epstein. Reid Hoffman, a liberal super donor, was wrapped up in the Epstein scandal in May 2023.
“Mr. Hoffman, the LinkedIn co-founder, has apologized for his interactions with Epstein, including inviting him in 2015 to a dinner in Palo Alto with Silicon Valley leaders. After Epstein was arrested in 2019, Mr. Hoffman said he had met with him to help raise funds for MIT at the request of the then director of MIT’s Media Lab, Joi Ito, reported The Wall Street Journal.
“The documents reveal that Epstein had plans for Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Ito to visit his private island in March 2014 and in November 2014. On the second date, Epstein planned to travel with both men from Palm Beach to the island for a weekend and then fly together to Boston.
When the venture capitalist had a flight scheduled to land late at night in New York on Dec. 4, 2014, Epstein arranged for Mr. Hoffman to stay overnight in his townhouse, the documents show. The following morning, Mr. Hoffman was scheduled to attend a “breakfast party” with Epstein, Mr. Gates and others, according to the documents.
Mr. Hoffman told the Journal he only once visited Epstein’s island residence, Little St. James, for an MIT fundraising trip with Mr. Ito. He said he regrets ever meeting with Epstein and his last interaction with Epstein was in 2015.”
Hoffman has vowed to “spend as much as I possibly can” to destroy Trump” and a few months ago put his money where his mouth was, even if it meant spending millions to support a different Republican.
The New York Times reported that Hoffman has given “$250,000 to a super PAC supporting Ms. Haley, the former South Carolina governor who has gained momentum in recent weeks in the 2024 Republican primary race. The donation, which has not been previously reported, was confirmed by Dmitri Mehlhorn, a political adviser to Mr. Hoffman.
The pro-Haley super PAC, SFA Fund Inc., was asked specifically by Mr. Hoffman’s political team if it would take money from Mr. Hoffman, given that he is a Democrat who actively supports President Biden, Mr. Mehlhorn said. The super PAC, he added, said yes.”
Epstein was arrested in July 2019 and died in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City in August 2019. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
Ghislaine Maxwell, who was accused of playing a significant role in Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking ring, was arrested in July 2020 and convicted for her crimes in December 2021. She is currently serving a 20-year sentence.
