Liberals will never let go of having men in women’s locker rooms and now a major university has decided to take things even further. The University of California, Davis has announced plans to replace its traditional men’s and women’s locker rooms with universal, all-gender locker facilities at its recreation centers. This decision, aimed at fostering “inclusivity and accessibility,” has sparked outrage at the insanity.

UC Davis officially unveiled the locker room renovation project in February, emphasizing its commitment to accommodating “the diverse needs of its student body.” According to UC Davis, the redesigned facilities will be open to all campus recreation members, regardless of gender identity, and will also provide enhanced accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

“We value inclusive, accessible environments that serve the diverse needs of our community,” the university stated. “These new locker rooms will ensure privacy and accessibility for all users.”

Despite UC Davis’s assurances, the decision has been met with criticism from women’s rights advocates and some student groups, writes Fox News.

Women’s tennis legend Martina Navratilova called the situation ‘beyond f—– up.’

“This is beyond f—– up! Be prepared to lose a lot of women to this insanity,” Navratilova wrote.

The university expects to spend $5 million on the renovations, and students will have until Wednesday to clear all of their belongings out of the current locker rooms. The renovated locker rooms won’t reopen until September.

The university’s announcement states that all toilets, changing rooms and cabanas are individual, private spaces with floor-to-ceiling locking doors, claiming it “offers more privacy for all members” compared to the current format.

California-based women’s rights advocate Beth Bourne also highlighted concerns raised by female students, arguing that such policies could create discomfort and safety risks.

The timing of UC Davis’s coincides with Democrats in Washington going all in on the issue, blocking an attempt to prevent biological men from playing in women’s sports. Just one day before the announcement, efforts to pass a bill aimed at barring transgender “women” from competing in women’s sports failed in both the U.S. Senate after nor receiving the 60 votes needed to break the Democratic filibuster.

In response to privacy concerns, UC Davis maintains that the universal locker rooms will provide enhanced privacy features, including fully enclosed changing areas with floor-to-ceiling doors and individual restrooms and showers equipped with secure locking mechanisms.

The renovation project, estimated to cost $5 million, will require the closure of existing locker rooms this week. Students have been instructed to remove their belongings by Wednesday, as construction begins. The updated facilities are expected to reopen in September.

The National Review explained why so many are outraged by the idea, writing, “Look to Virginia for a reason why men in women’s locker rooms is a bad idea. Last year, Richard Cox, a tier-III sex offender, was allowed access to women’s locker rooms at multiple public school pools and rec centers because he identified as a woman. Universal locker rooms explicitly invite men into female-only spaces — and creeps will prowl in women’s spaces if given the opportunity. The safest thing to do, it would seem, would be to keep locker rooms sex-segregated and add a separate locker room or changing space for individuals who identify with a gender other than their biological sex. Then, punish any man who tries to invade a women-only space.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta has said that the state will do everything in its power to protect transgender and gender-nonconforming people from President Donald Trump’s executive orders, one of which will “affirmatively protect all-female athletic opportunities and all-female locker rooms.” Public universities that replace men’s and women’s locker rooms with trans- or gender-inclusive ones should be held accountable.”
