What began as a peaceful demonstration to honor Israeli hostages held in Gaza descended into violence Sunday afternoon, when a Molotov-wielding assailant targeted Jewish marchers at Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall—leaving five people injured and prompting a terrorism investigation. Federal authorities have confirmed the suspect is an Egyptian national who was in the United States illegally.
The attack unfolded around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of 13th and Pearl Streets. Witnesses say the suspect shouted “End Zionist!” and “Free Palestine!” before throwing firebombs into the crowd. Among those injured were four women reportedly left with severe leg burns, according to 19-year-old University of Colorado student Brooke Coffman, who witnessed the scene. DHS sources told reporters the suspect was apprehended without resistance and is receiving medical treatment.
Four women and four men between 52 and 88 years old were transported to hospitals during an attack by Mohamed Soliman, an Egyptian illegal immigrant, Boulder police claimed. Authorities had earlier put the count of the injured at six and said at least one of them was in a critical condition.
Federal court documents reveal that Soliman, who entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in August 2022 during the Biden administration, admitted to planning the attack for a year, specifically targeting the pro-Israel group due to his anti-Zionist ideology. He threw two Molotov cocktails at the crowd on Pearl Street, injuring eight people, and later confessed to investigators that he wanted to kill “Zionist” people, even stating he would repeat the attack if given the chance. Authorities discovered 14 additional Molotov cocktails in a container near his arrest site, along with documents in his vehicle referencing “Israel,” “Palestine,” and “USAID,” underscoring the premeditated nature of the assault.
FBI Director Kash Patel described the incident as a “targeted terror attack,” while Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser indicated the state is weighing hate crime charges due to the religious targeting of the victims. Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn, however, struck a more cautious tone. “It would be irresponsible of me to speculate on motive this early on,” he said at a Sunday evening press conference, declining to officially label the attack as terrorism pending further investigation.
The suspect’s apparent political motivations were likely stoked by false or contested claims emerging from the conflict in Gaza earlier that same day. A widely circulated report from the Hamas-run civil defense agency in Rafah alleged Israeli troops had opened fire on civilians waiting for aid, killing at least 31. However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied the charge, saying preliminary reviews found no evidence of Israeli fire near the area. The International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed a mass casualty influx but did not attribute responsibility.
After falsely accusing Israeli forces, CNN has now silently removed the fraudulent accusations from the article and tagged it with this pathetic note.

The incident underscores liberal media has been driving leftwing violence. In Washington, D.C., two Jewish embassy workers were murdered in an execution-style shooting after American media ran a fake news story that claimed that “14,000 Gazan babies could die in 48s hours.”
The Democratic Socialists of America, where the Democratic “Squad” in Congress, including 2028 frontrunner Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, first garnered support, praised the shooting, calling the murder “justified” because “the Palestinian struggle is the tip of the spear against global imperialism.”
DSA calls the man who ambushed and executed two civilians, one Israeli and one an American Jew, a "political prisoner" and demands his immediate release.

The suspect’s illegal immigration status has also reignited fierce debate over federal enforcement failures. Egypt, a critical transit hub for Middle Eastern and African migration, has drawn criticism from human rights organizations for its treatment of asylum seekers. Though Egypt partners with the EU on migration control, its opaque detention practices and porous borders raise questions about how individuals with radical intent may be slipping through international screening. The attacker’s presence in the U.S. comes amid a leadership shake-up at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which has faced ongoing criticism over lax interior enforcement and asylum abuse loopholes.
Colorado Governor Jared Polis expressed outrage, calling the incident “unfathomable” and offering his sympathies to the injured. Actions, however, speak louder than words. Just last week Polis signed an extension to Colorado’s existing protection of illegal aliens in the state, which likely included the Egyptian suspect.
President Trump has called for the assailant to be deported while much of the liberal media has tried to downplay the incident.
