Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has endorsed the Democratic Party. The radical mullahs released a 25-page letter attacking his leadership and urging opposition to his policies ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. The appeal marks another effort by Tehran to turn hostility toward Trump into political pressure inside the United States.
Presented Tuesday in Tehran by IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi, the letter blamed American support for Israel for the war and portrayed Trump as incapable of protecting his own country. Its message offered Americans the prospect of peaceful relations with Iran if Washington changed course.
“America’s national security and the lives of its service members are entrusted to someone who is not only an inveterate liar but is also an insanely avaricious man whose only motivation in life is the accumulation of greater wealth,” Mohebbi said.
Will they start drafting fundraising emails for Democrats too?
It is not a good sign when the IRGC shifts from "Death to America" to "Vote Democratic." The IRGC is reportedly encouraging Americans to vote against the GOP in the midterms. https://t.co/QwTj1I7nf4 …

This is hardly Tehran’s first attempt to weaken Trump at the ballot box. As New Conservative Post reported back in July 2024, U.S. intelligence officials identified Iranian influence operations aimed at damaging his presidential campaign. Iranian leaders viewed his potential return to Washington as a threat to their interests, following a first term marked by economic sanctions and the military strike that killed Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
That earlier campaign went beyond public criticism. In September 2024, the FBI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency disclosed that Iranian hackers had sent material stolen from Trump’s campaign to people associated with President Joe Biden’s reelection effort. The unsolicited emails arrived in late June and early July, and the agencies said there was no information indicating the recipients replied. Iranian operatives also tried to distribute stolen campaign material to American news organizations.
The latest appeal brings Tehran’s opposition into the open, with its military establishment addressing the American electorate just weeks before voters decide control of Congress. Trump will not appear on the midterm ballot, but weakening his congressional support would make it harder for his administration to carry out its agenda.
Does that sound much different from what most Democrats argue?
Iranian regime thug sounds like Chris Van Hollen and the rest of the Democrats and their Woke Reich buddies https://t.co/xdMFvr08pc

The letter also sought to recast Iran as the victim of American deception. It accused Trump of concealing the “peaceful nature” of Tehran’s nuclear program and challenged Washington’s justification for military action. The IRGC disputed its U.S. terrorist designation as well, asserting there was not “a single verifiable instance where the IRGC has committed an act of violence against civilians.”
Much of the document focused on Americans’ economic concerns, attempting to turn frustration over fuel prices and the costs of war against the president. The regime predicted an American economic collapse while accusing Trump of misleading voters about conditions at home.
“The US economy is on the precipice of collapse, and yet he keeps on telling Americans that the economy is booming and the prices will soon start coming down,” the letter stated. “This is, perhaps, his biggest lie. Soon, the dam will break, and the economy will implode, causing, unfortunately, great pain for Americans for many many years.”
Mohebbi also rejected reports that Iran had lost its grip on the Strait of Hormuz, the vital shipping route Tehran has used to pressure the global economy. He dismissed American efforts to move oil through the waterway as too limited to demonstrate that it was open.
“The fact that the Americans might manage, at great expense, considerable trouble and high risk to sneak a small vessel through the Strait of Hormuz under cover of darkness to export, say, 100 or 200 barrels of oil does not mean the Strait is open,” he said.
Shipping estimates suggest a considerably larger flow than Mohebbi’s description implied. Reuters, citing Kpler data, reported that September oil exports through the strait were on course to approach 10 million barrels a day, roughly half their prewar volume. That would still represent a major disruption, but hardly a handful of vessels slipping through with a few hundred barrels.
Tehran’s latest message follows the same political calculation described in NCP’s 2024 reporting: weakening Trump serves the Iranian government’s interests. Two years ago, American officials warned about covert operations aimed at his campaign. Now, the Revolutionary Guard is making its pitch directly to American voters.
