Biden Advisers Warn Kamala About Trashing Former Boss In Book

Tensions within the Democratic Party are threatening to boil over as allies of President Joe Biden reportedly prepare to release unflattering details about Vice President Kamala Harris should her forthcoming memoir take aim at the president.

The warning, delivered by political analyst Mark Halperin on his “Morning Meeting” newsletter, comes just days after Harris announced the release of 107 Days, a retrospective account of her failed 2024 presidential campaign. Halperin hinted that Biden’s inner circle is sitting on a trove of “Palinesque” stories highlighting Harris’s alleged shortcomings as vice president—stories they are prepared to unleash if her book strays into criticism of Biden’s leadership or mental acuity.

“If the Biden people decide that Kamala Harris is coming after Joe Biden,” Halperin said, “wait till you hear the stories about how much they tried to help her be prepared… and how much they decided: not happening.”

He added that while relations between the two camps are not openly hostile, they remain fragile. “If Joe Biden feels threatened, if his people feel threatened by her, this is going to escalate in a big way,” Halperin warned.

The remarks, timed just after Harris’s memoir announcement, signal a preemptive shot across the bow, according to PJ Media. According to Halperin, Biden’s team gave Harris “every opportunity” to succeed as vice president but were often frustrated by what he described as “some issues.”

Of particular concern is whether Harris will reveal behind-the-scenes details of Biden’s cognitive decline, a topic that has loomed over Democratic discourse since the 2024 campaign. Halperin suggested that Biden’s advisers are poised to strike back hard if the memoir shifts blame or reimagines Harris’s vice presidency at Biden’s expense. “She will have a hard time defending against the stories if that dam bursts,” he said.

Biden, who dropped out of the 2024 race after a disastrous debate showing against Trump, has been blamed by many liberals for clinging to power too long, leaving little time for Harris to mount an effective campaign.

Others have noted that Harris may have run the single worst presidential campaign in American history. Despite raising a whopping billion dollars in just three months, the former vice president was accused of buying endorsements from celebrities that left the Democratic National Committee millions of dollars in debt. Later it was revealed that Mark Cuban flatly rejected her request to be vetted as her potential running mate.

Halperin also noted Harris’s strict loyalty during the campaign, pointing out her public claim that there was not a single Biden policy decision she would have handled differently—a line he speculated may have been imposed by Biden himself.

Despite her 2024 defeat, Harris remains a central figure in Democratic politics, with top Biden advisor Mike Donilon suggesting she’s laying the groundwork for a 2028 run. But Halperin’s revelations suggest any effort to rewrite her legacy could provoke a damaging backlash from the Biden camp—one that could cripple her ambitions before they begin.

As 107 Days nears publication, Democrats now brace for either a quiet détente or a very public political reckoning.
